Obituary of Robert M

Robert M. Orlando, 60, of Garnerville, NY passed away on March 6, 2015. He was born on October 11, 1954 in the Bronx, to Francis & Angelina (Cardillo) Orlando. Robert married the love of his life Nora "Patty" Wickline on Aug. 13, 1977 in Our Lady of Refuge church in the Bronx. Robert was the owner of Orlando's Deli in Mt. Ivy before he joined the Westchester County Department of Corrections. He worked at Westchester County Jail for 25 years where he rose to the rank of Assistant Warden. Robert loved gardening and entertaining in his backyard. He hosted numerous family and friends around his swimming pool, where he made them fresh pizza. Robert was also known for making his fresh mozzarella for those he loved. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Francis and his sister-in-law Pauline Orlando. Robert is survived by his devoted wife Patty of Garnerville, his adored children Robert II and his fiancee Kelly Krolik of Kinnelon, NJ, Jennifer Orlando of Garnerville and his cherished brother Richard Orlando of the Bronx and loving sister Angela Frizalone and her husband John of Garnerville. Also surviving are his numerous nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends & relatives on Monday March 9th from 7 - 9 PM & Tuesday March 10th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the T J McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Robert on Wednesday March 11th at St Gregory Barbarigo church in Garnerville, with interment to follow in St Peters Cemetery in Haverstraw. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Robert's memory to either of his favorite charities, St Jude's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Wounded Warriors P.O.
