Obituary of Thomas J. Coskey

Thomas J. Coskey Jr., of Stony Point, NY passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 9, 2015.He was 81. He was born on March 22, 1934 in Nyack to Thomas J. Sr. & Gertrude (Weiler) Coskey. Tom was married to the love of his life Ann Mulholland for 47 years, she predeceased him in 2001.He was a member of local union 754. He worked as a foreman for the County Asphalt Company for over 40 years, retiring in 1994. Tom loved to build things, including building his two houses, and he enjoyed traveling extensively. Tom is survived by his loving children Jill and her husband Mark Strauch of Stony Point, Michael Coskey and his companion Adrianna of Stony Point, Joseph and his wife Elizabeth Coskey of Tomkins Cove, Lynn and her husband Michael Posid of Garnerville; his cherished and adored 7 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Honey Gooler of Stony Point, and his nieces & nephews. Tom was a wonderful husband, a great father, caring grandfather, thoughtful uncle. He will be loved and missed by all. The family will receive friends & relatives on Sunday April 12th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Service will be held on Monday April 13th at 11 AM at the Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw.
