Obituary of Paul DeSimone

Paul DeSimone, of Garnerville, passed away on May 9, 2015. He was 71. Paul was born in Montemarano, Italy on December 28, 1943 to Felice and Giuseppina (Corrado) DeSimone. Paul came to America in 1961. He married Mimma Mondello in 1972, and had two sons. Paul and Mimma lived in West Haverstraw until 1975, and then moved to Garnerville. Paul worked in construction until he began his own excavating business in 1972. Paul will be remembered as a hard worker who was always there to help his family. He was a member of the Italian-American Social Club for 50 years. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mimma; by his sons, Paul Jr. and Maurizio (Valerie); by his two beautiful grandsons, Vincent and Nicholas; his brother Peter (Yvonne); his sister Lina (Dominic) Cioffi; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Paul is predeceased by his parents. Paul's family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 and Wednesday, May 13 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, Garnerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Paul on Thursday, May 14 at 10AM at St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw.
