Obituary of Carmela Hauptman

Carmela "Millie" Hauptman, 94, of Garnerville, Formerly of the Bronx, Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 14, 2015. She was born on August 12, 1920 in the Bronx to Antonio and Antionette Amoroso. Millie belonged to the Haverstraw Senior Citizens Club and Bon Air Senior Center. She attended the Bobbi Lewis Day Center. Millie worked for many years as a Therapy Aide for Letchworth Village and was also a Childcare aide at the Thiells Childcare Center. Millie is predeceased by the love of her life William "Bill" Hauptman and her son Billy. She is survived by her loving children John and his wife Mary of Huntley, IL and Donna Hauptman of Garnerville and many loving Nieces and Nephews as well as many friends. The family will receive family & friends on Monday May 18th from 7-9 pm and Tuesday May 19th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at TJ McGowans Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Millie on Weds May 20th at 10am St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, NY with interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, In Lieu of Flowers Donation can be made in Millie's name to the Alzheimers Foundation 322 Eight Ave 7th floor, New York, NY 10001 or St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
