Obituary of Gency McLoryd

Gency McLoryd, 89, of Haverstraw passed away on June 14, 2015. She was born on May 15, 1926 in Doghan, Alabama to Jack & Judy (Edwards) Lightner. Gency enjoyed knitting and doing arts & crafts of which she taught at various places throughout Rockland. She worked as a therapist for the State of New York for many years. Gency is predeceased by her grandchild Aaron and her brothers & Sisters; Jessie, Rubin, Ben, Clarence, Laura and Essie May. She is survived by her loving children Charles Lightner of White Plains, Jean McLoryd of Colorado, James McLoryd and his wife Merry of Monroe, Donald McLoryd of So. Carolina, Emile Respress of West Haverstraw, Gerald McLoryd of Clearwater, FL and her 8 Adored grandchildren and 3 cherished Great grandchildren, her beloved sister Eula Miles of Ohio and her numerous caring nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends & relatives on Thursday June18th from 4 - 8 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 133 Broadway Haverstraw, NY 10927. Services will be private at the convince of the family.
