Obituary of Richard A. Moore

Richard A. Moore, of Stony Point, passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2015. He was 87. Richard was born in New York City to John and Anna Moore. Richard married his beloved wife Marion Ferris in 1953. Richard was a devoted father, husband and Catholic. He was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point. Richard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marion; by his children: Terry (Tony) Cocozza, John Moore, Lillian Francis, Pat Kenny, Richard (Christina) Moore, and Tom Moore; by 15 grandchildren and one great-grandson Luke; by his siblings Dolores, Eileen, Lillian and Frank; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Richard is predeceased by six siblings, by two grandsons: Kyle and E.J., and his son-in-law Eddie. Richard's family will receive friends at T.J. MCGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, GARNERVILLE, on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 3-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Richard on Wednesday, July 8 at 10 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
