Obituary of George H Stutzman

George H. Stutzman, 88, of Creedmoor, N. Carolina formerly a 40 year resident of New City, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 6, 2015. George was born on March 3, 1927 in Suffern to Albert J & Edith (Lewis) Stutzman; he was raised and grew up on Gurnee Ave in Haverstraw. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. George "RED" worked for Lederle Labs for 39 years in quality control retiring in 1989. He was an avid golfer and moved to Pinehurst N. Carolina to enjoy retirement & play golf. After 14 years in Pinehurst George then moved to Creedmoor, N. Carolina where he spent the last 10 years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Southern Pines, N. Carolina. George is predeceased by his brother Albert John Stutzman and he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Allene (Yawn) Stutzman of Creedmoor, N. Carolina, his adored & cherished children Albert of Creedmoor, N. Carolina and Laurie and son in-law Marco Gioffre of Succasunna, NJ, as well as numerous nephews & niece. There will be a graveside service for George on Tuesday August 11th at 11 AM in the Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw.
