Obituary of Patrick J. Rogan

Patrick J. Rogan, of Stony Point, passed away on July 13, 2015 after a long illness. He was 83. Patrick was born in New York City in 1931. He attended Annunciation Boys' School and Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, NY. Patrick proudly served his country during the Korean War conflict in 1952-1953. He worked for the N.Y. State Department of Taxation and Finance as a Tax Auditor. He retired in 1992 after 39 years. As a daily Communicant, Patrick will be remembered as a man of faith. Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Mary Rogan; by his sons: Michael, John, Patrick, Timothy and Thomas; four stepchildren, ten grandchildren and one great-grandson; and by his sister Lillian Gibbs. Patrick is predeceased by his first wife Rita, his sister Margaret, and his brother John. Patrick's family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 71 N. Central Hwy, GARNERVILLE, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Patrick on Friday, July 17 at 10 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, NY, with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw.
