Obituary of Hilda M. Babcock

Hilda "Happy" Babcock, 87, of Valley Cottage, NY, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015.Born May 4, 1928 in Harriman, NY to Fred and Caroline Bromley. Beloved wife of the late William R. Babcock, Sr. Loving mother of William R. Babcock, Jr., predeceased. Cherished sister of Vera Banks and Leander Bromley, Sr. She was predeceased by brother George Bromley and sisters Frances Thompson and Margaret Bromley. Loving aunt to Susan Banks, Leander Bromley, Jr., George Bromley, Caroline Bromley, Clayton Thompson, and predeceased by Clifford Thompson. She will be sorely missed by her family and she will always be remembered for her caring and loving nature. May God bless her in heaven. Hilda's family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 12 PM until 2 PM at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Hwy, Garnerville. A religious service will be held at 2 PM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at F.W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
