Obituary of Victor S. Gurnee

Victor S. Gurnee, of New Windsor (formerly of Stony Point), passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY on August 21, 2015, after a five year battle with cancer. He was 64. Victor attended North Rockland High School, then worked for Crowley Foods of Newburgh, NY. As a child, he played little league baseball. He also liked to go crabbing. Victor is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Jane; by his son Victor Jr. (Jody); by his three grandchildren: Brianna, Victor III and Carmine; by his three brothers: Harold, Georgie and Eddie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Victor's family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, GARNERVILLE, on Thursday, August 27 and on Friday, August 28 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will be held for Victor at the funeral home on Saturday, August 29 at 9:30 AM, with interment to follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw.
