Obituary of Paul J. Weireter

Paul J. Weireter of Garnerville passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2015. He was born April 5, 1925 in the Bronx, NY, but made his home in Rockland for over 40 years. Paul proudly served his country in WWII in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942-1945. He was a retired telephone installer. Paul is survived by his son Edward at home. He is also survived by his daughter Kathleen (Jerry) Hyland, his son Paul (Karen); 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Paul was predeceased by his wife Rose in 2012, his daughter Joann Bansley, and two grandchildren, Michael Hyland and Jaclyn Weireter. Paul's family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Paul on Friday, August 28 at 10 AM at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Garnerville, with interment to follow at F.W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery.
