Obituary of Annunziata Di Valentino

Annunziata Di Valentino, of Haverstraw, passed away on September 21, 2015. She was 87. Annunziata was born in Italy in 1928. She followed her husband Silvino to America in 1957. She was a longtime resident of Haverstraw, as well as an active parishioner of St. Peter's Church, and a member of the Society of Our Lady of Montevergine in Haverstraw's Little Italy. She will be remembered as a fantastic cook, and was always willing to help others. Annunziata is survived by her loving children: Mario (Jo-Anne), Antoinette (Richard) Sullivan, John, and Julia (Edward) Coll; her cherished grandchildren: Kelly, Rob, Colleen, Paul, Catherine, Joseph, Andrew, James, and Aidan; and her great-grandchildren: Evan, Kyan, Annabelle, Caroline, Caden and Kasar; her sister Palmina, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Silvino in 2013 and by her parents. Annunziata's family will receive friends on Friday, Sept 25, 2015 at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, HAVERSTRAW, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Annunziata on Sat, Sept 26 at 10 AM at St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, with interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may donate in Annunziata's memory to either to American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association.
