Obituary of Robert Hawkesworth

Robert "BABE" Hawkesworth passed away peacefully at home in York, SC on December 30, 2015. Babe was born on March 31, 1941, in Manhattan, New York to Alexander and Minnie Pearsall Hawkesworth. He was an ex-captain and a 46-year member of Lady Warren Hose Co. #5 of Haverstraw Fire Department and life member of the Rockland County Volunteer Fireman's Association. Babe was predeceased in addition to his parents by his loving wife and soul mate of 41 years Patricia Tirrell Hawkesworth. Sisters: Georgian Morrison, Elizabeth Paulick, Arlene O'Neisha, Bonitabell Bertram, Brothers: Gene and Mike Hawkesworth. He is survived by his loving wife Joan Tirrell Hawkesworth. His three loving children, Mariane Bateman, Gene Hawkesworth & wife Veronica, Kelly LaForge & husband Mike, Brother Howard Hawkesworth of Chambersburg, PA, He also had 11 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday Jan. 4th from 2 - 4 & 7 -9PM at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 133 Broadway Haverstraw, NY 10927. Firematic Services will be held Monday at 8 PM at the funeral home. Religious service will be held on Tues. Jan 5th at 10 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow in Mt Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw. In lieu of flowers Donations can be made in Babes memory to the Lady Warren Hose Company #5 at 88 Broadway Haverstraw, NY 10927
