Obituary of Glady L Manglass

Gladys L. Manglass, 94 of Tomkins Cove, NY passed away peacefully on January 10, 2016 at the Joe Raso Hospice facility with her family by her side. She was born on October 16, 1921 in Stony Point, NY to James and Sarah (Babcock) Palmer. Gladys married the love of her life Alex Manglass on August 10, 1946, he predeceased her in 2003. Gladys loved doing crossword puzzles, NASCAR and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her husband she is predeceased by her daughter Alexa Funcheon , her granddaughter Erica Hansen O'Connor and her 6 brothers and sisters Mary, Kate, Caroline, John, Kenneth and Clarence. Gladys is survived by her loving children Karen Hansen of Tomkins Cove, Cheryl Curry of Tomkins Cove, Alex and his wife Michelle of Tomkins Cove, her adored 12 grandchildren, William Funcheon Jr (Susan), Suzanne Sparta (Anthony), Paul Curry (Erin), Michelle Krupa (James), Sherry Curry (Shaun), Scott Curry, Chad Hansen (Stephanie), Tammy Hansen, Evan Hansen (Erika), Alexa Hansen, Danielle Seitz (Matthew), Alexander Manglass & 19 Great grandchildren, also surviving is her son-in-law William Funcheon of Stony Point and her cherished numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday Jan 14th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. Religious services will be on Friday Jan 15th at 11 AM at the funeral home with Interment to follow in St. Peters Cemetery in Haverstraw.
