Obituary of Maria Heiberger

Maria Heiberger entered into the kingdom of heaven to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, April 8th 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Maria was born in Karlsdorf Yugoslavia now Serbia on May 30, 1931 to Katerina (Stark) Michera and Josef Michera along with her parents she is also pre-deceased by her sister Barbara. Maria lived in Haid, Austria after WWII and emigrated to the United States with her mother and father. She met her husband Michael in Haid and was married in 1956 in Bronx New York where she lived until 1970 when the family moved to Stony Point, New York. Maria retired from Baselock Rubber Type Company and spent her retirement years tending to her home and her beautiful flower gardens. She leaves behind her husband Michael of 59 years, three children and seven grandchildren. Maria will be deeply missed by her family and friends, may she rest in peace. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the T.J McGowan Sons funeral home on 71 N. Central Highway in Garnerville NY on Wednesday, April 13th between the hours of 4 PM and 8 PM A mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Gregory Barbarigo RC Church in Garnerville NY at 10 AM on Thursday, April 14th. Following the funeral mass Maria will be laid into eternal rest at Saint Peter's Cemetery in Haverstraw NY.
