Obituary of Edward L. Onderdonk

Edward L Onderdonk of Stony Point, NY passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on June 1, 2016. Edward was born on June 4, 1966 to Frank M. & Mary (O'Leary) in Nyack, NY. Edward was very dedicated to his community and always found time to devote to many organizations. He was the past President and a life member of Stony Point Ambulance Corps for over 30 years. He also served as EMS Commissioner, Immaculate Conception Youth Group Leader and was a Eucharistic Minister in the Parish. He was involved in Boy Scouts and Little League and was a member of IBEW Local Union 363 for 26 years. Edward is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Klouda) Onderdonk, Son Kevin & Daughter Colleen, parents Frank M. & Mary (O'Leary) Onderdonk, his brothers Frank P. (Christine) of Garnerville, NY, Pete (Sue) of Greenwood Lake, NY, and his sister Karen Brannigan of Stony Point, in-laws Ed & Margaret Klouda of Stony Point, NY, brother-in-laws Edward P. (Robin) of New Windsor, NY, Michael (Denise) Klouda of Fanwood, NJ. He is also survived by many Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends. Visitation will be held at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71N Central HWY Ganerville, NY between the hours of 3pm and 8pm on Sunday June 5th. Funeral mass will be held in Immaculate Conception RC Church 26 John Street Stony Point NY on Monday June 6th at 10am. Immediately following the mass Edward will be laid to rest at St. Peter's Cemetery in Haverstraw NY. In lieu of Flowers Donations can be made to the United Hospice of Rockland and The Stony Point Ambulance Corp.
