Obituary of Stephen M Pilla

Stephen Pilla, 55 of Thiells, passed away on July 19, 2016. He was born to Dolores and the late Pasquale Pilla in the Bronx, New York. Stephen is the beloved husband of Kathleen and father of Tina Pilla. His two brothers, Robert and Richard, and numerous nieces, nephews, and Godchildren survive him. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force before settling down and starting a beautiful family. He loved being surrounded by the women (and men) in his life. Steve was an incredible athlete and would participate in the Annual Wheelchair Games, horseback riding, bowling, and ping-pong. You could always find him answering every question on Jeopardy correctly, yelling at the Mets, or watching old Rock 'n Roll videos on YouTube. He was loved by all. Services will be held at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, New York on Thursday July 21st, 2016 from 7pm to 9pm and again on Friday July 22nd, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Saturday July 23rd, 2016 there will be church services at Living Hope Fellowship in Tompkins Cove, New York at 10am. His family asks that in lieu of flowers you send donations to the Hudson Valley Wheelchair Crusaders at 104 Crescent Drive, Thiells, New York, 10984 or to the Castle Point, NY campus of the Veterans Affairs.
