Obituary of Patrick J. O'Sullivan

Patrick J. O'Sullivan, 78, of Garnerville, NY passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 23, 2016. He was born on August 12, 1938 in Castleisland Co. Kerry, Ireland to Daniel and Mary (Spillane) O'Sullivan. Pat married the love of his life Carmel Troy on June 13, 1964. He worked for the FDNY as an auto machinist for 29 years. Pat was an avid fan of Gaelic football, but his biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with his seven grandchildren. Pat is predeceased by his parents and his son Daniel (2000). Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Carmel of Garnerville, his beloved children Patrick (Molly) of Dallas, TX, Colleen of Stony Point, Anthony (Heather) of Richmond, VA, and his cherished grandchildren James, Danielle, Delia, Danny, Maggie, Aiden, and Claire to whom he was most affectionately known as "Irish Pa-Pa." Pat is also survived by his caring brothers Timothy, Connie, Mossie, and sister Mary Murphy. The family will receive friends & relatives on Sunday Nov. 27th from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Patrick on Monday Nov. 28th at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church in Garnerville at 10:15 AM, with interment to follow in St. Peters Cemetery in Haverstraw.
