Obituary of Anthony Pescatore

Anthony J Pescatore 91 passed away on December 30th 2016. Born in New York City to loving parents Joseph & Viola Pescatore. At a young age Anthony Joined the Marine Corps and went off to WWII, after coming home from the war he met the love of his life Clara Fondacaro and they lived 70 years married and in love. Anthony belonged to the Haverstraw Elks lodge 887 the Italian American Club and the Leo Ladders American Legion for many years. Bowling, Golfing, Fishing or the fine trade of refinishing furniture were some of his past times but his passion was boating in Florida or simply basking in the sunshine. Predeceased by his wife Clara Pescatore, Parents Joseph & Viola Pescatore sisters Josephine Ferruzza & Carmela Mancuso. Survive by Daughter Viola(Angelo) Martinez, Son Joseph(Linda) Pescatore grandchildren Brian, Amy, Jessica, Karey & Anthony. Great grandchildren Lorenzo, Marino, Jack, Remy, Kaitlyn, Owen and many nieces and nephews. in Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer's foundation or the Joe Raso Hospice residence. The funeral arrangements are under the care of the TJ McGowan sons funeral home 71 N. Central Hwy Garnerville NY 10923 The family will be receiving friends and relatives on Monday January 2nd 2017 between the hours of 3pm till 8pm. Final prayers will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday January 3rd at 10:30 AM. Immediately following prayers Anthony will be laid to rest at St. Peter's Cemetery in Haverstraw NY alongside his loving wife Clara.
