Obituary of Joseph Failla

Joseph Failla Sr., of Airmont NY, a retired carpenter, passed away peacefully this Sunday, April 9, 2017, at the Pine Valley Nursing Home in Spring Valley NY. He was 81. He is preceded by his parents Vincent and Marie Failla, his brothers Sam & Frank and his sisters Lucy & Ellie. He is survived by his daughters Debbie, Kathy and Janine, his son Joseph and daughter in law Sharon, brother Sal and sister Tina. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tara, BrittanyRose, Tina, Leanne, Christopher and Catelynn, and three great grandchildren Mia, Thomas and Jyisa, along with many nieces and nephews. Joe devoted his life to his family, whether it was helping them in some way, or just making them crazy, but he could always be depended upon for one or the other. He was known for his skilled carpentry, his meatballs, and his eccentric and often inappropriate sense of humor. His family invites you to join them in his services to share and remember the life of Joseph. Services will be held at TJ McGowan Funeral Home at 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville NY, on Tuesday April 11th, 2017, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
