Obituary of Adeline C. Cefola

Adeline "Addie" Cefola, 81, of Stony Point, NY passed away on April 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 18, 1935 in Bronx, NY to Elia and Frances Cuomo. Addie married the love of her life Richard J. Cefola on June 30, 1962. Addie worked at Rockland Psychiatric Center as a Medical Records Transcriber for 20 years. She belonged to the Italian American Social Club Ladies Auxiliary and the Stony Point Seniors. She enjoyed her trips to Alantlic City, cooking for her family, playing cards and board games, but what she enjoyed the most was family gatherings. Addie is predeceased by her parents, her siblings Mae, Catherine, Dominick, Anthony and Elia Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Richard J., her beloved children Lorraine and husband Christopher Reichert of Upper Saddle River, NJ, Richard C. and wife Amy Cefola of Tomkins Cove, NY, Joseph and wife Cheryl Cefola of Ringwood, NJ. Her cherished and adored grandchildren Michael, Nicole and Matthew Cefola, and Matthew Reichert. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Lucille Cuomo and Clara Cuomo, brother-in-law Vincent and wife Theresa Cefola and her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends and family at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY on Thursday April 27th from 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday April 28th at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY at 10 am. Interment to follow at the Cemetery of the Ascension, 650 Saddle River Road, Monsey, NY. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Adeline's memory to the American Heart Association 255 Lafayette Ave, Suffern, NY 10901 or the Marian Shrine 174 Filors Lane Stony Point, NY 10980.
