Obituary of Angelina T Gizzi

Angelina T. Gizzi was born on November 3, 1921 in her beloved Highland Falls, NY. Her parents were Antonio and Giocamina (aka Josephine) Eazzetta and her siblings were Dominic, Benedict and Carmela. After graduating from HIghland Falls HS, she helped her widowed mother and was proud that she went to work in Washington D.C., but returned to jobs she enjoyed at USMA, West Point, NY. Some of her favorite stories to tell were growing up in a large family in a close-knit town where her family had beautiful vegetable and flower gardens, how she would go to church at Sacred Heart with her grandmother Angela, and take horse drawn sleigh rides across the frozen Hudson River with her grandfather Benedeto. She was a gentle soul who loved the Lord--her favorite verse: "May the Lord bless and keep you...(Numbers 6:24-26). Everyone she met loved her smile and quiet demeanor. She will be dearly missed and is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. Because there was a special place in her heart for the poor, donations can be sent to charities that aid the poor and suffering, especially children.
