Obituary of Michael P. Leach

Michael P. Leach, 78, of Stony Point, NY passed on June 27, 2017. He was born on August 22, 1938 in Highland Falls to Paul and Elizabeth (Murphy) Leach. Michael married the love of his life Juliana Young in 1961 in the Immaculate Conception Church in Tomkins Cove. Michael was a New York State Trooper for 32 years retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Holy Name Society in Immaculate Conception church. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. He was an outdoorsman. He is survived by his loving wife Juliana of Stony Point, his beloved children Michael (Kathryn) of Indianapolis, IN, James (Colleen) of Gilford New Hampshire, Peter ( Dee) of New Paltz, NY, Juliana of Port Chester, NY, his adored and cherished grandchildren Amanda, Amy, Annette, Courtney, Christine, Anthony, Rebecca and Peter Jr., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friend and relatives on Sunday July 2nd from 4 - 8 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Michael on Monday July 3rd at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point with Interment to follow in the Eagle Valley Cemetery in Highland Falls.
