Obituary of Thomas J Schaub

Thomas J. Schaub, 86, of Thiells, NY, passed away suddenly on July 6, 2017. He was born on May 15, 1931 in New York City to Frederick & Harriet (Pendergast) Schaub. Tom proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He married the love of his life Kathleen McElhenny on August 29, 1959. Tom worked as a Regional Manager for over 30 years for the Coca Cola Company of New York . Tom was a member of the Korean War Veterans Eagle Chapter, he was an usher at St. Gregory Barbargio Church for over 40 years and he was a life member and a Past Exalted Ruler in the Haverstraw Elks 877. Tom was an avid NY Mets fan and he enjoyed playing golf. Besides his parents Tom is predeceased by his brother Frederick. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Kathleen of Thiells, his beloved children Tom Jr. of Valley Cottage, Lori Morales of Stony Point, Chris of Stony Point, Doug (Nancee) of Hawley, PA, His adored & cherished grandchildren Tanner, Hunter, Meri, Michaela, Zach, Ashley, Ava, Ryan, Crosby and Fiona as well as numerous nieces & Nephews. The family will receive friends & relatives on Sunday July 9th from 4 - 8 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Thomas on Monday July 10th at 10 AM in St Gregory Barbargio Church with Interment to follow in the F. Loescher Veterans Cemetery with Miliatary Honors.
