Obituary of Marie "Murph" Castaldo

Marie "Murph" Castaldo passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2023. She was 91 years old. Murph was born in New York City, NY on July 18th, 1931 to John and Teresa Salutare (nee Colangelo). She married John Castaldo and together they raised their 7 children. Murph loved to cook and bake, gamble at the casinos, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. 

Murph is survived by her loving children Louis Castaldo, Theresa Castaldo (Sandy), Marguerite Wegielski (Steve), Michael Castaldo and Maria Castaldo (Tony); 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John, her son John, her daughter Maryann McLaughlin and her daughter-in-law Rose Castaldo. Mass will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 128 Parrott Road, West Nyack, NY 10994, followed by a private cremation.
