To my Aunt Helen, please have a gentle rest with Uncle Joe and our many aunts and uncles. Growing up, you were the best, always helped my mom get us kids the coolest toys. I remember you always making me laugh, and you were always quick witted with your comments. Always made me feel at home. Haven't seen you for many years but know you were deeply cared for by your loving family. Say hi to my mom and plan more of those garden parties....love to you, my brothers and I will miss you dearly. I will pray for you and those you leave behind. Rest in peace, Aunt Helen.
Brian Izzo and family.

We all know Mrs. Fratangelo was so cool. I admired her greatly. She was strong and independent, and she worked - I thought that was great - not a "wife" but a person - a woman standing shoulder-to-shoulder with men when it wasn't what was done. I wanted my mom to have a job just the same. She was so loving - besides her wonderful husband and beautiful girls, she extended her love to her pets - cats and dogs that were always a part of the family. She always looked so chic... she had a real flair. I liked that she didn't take any guff too. She stood up for whatever she thought was right - usually her girls! Ha! And she was so very kind to me. I smile when I think of her and how she was the best chaperone ever in 1976 on a trip to Philadelphia. We had no time to waste so she came up with a ruse to politely cut the line to Independence Hall. And it worked! It was so much fun. We were tasked with writing thank-you notes to the chaperones and I included our adventure in the note. She got "in trouble" for it (that teacher was the worst) but kept the note in pristine condition to this minute! And that makes me so happy. When people speak well of you, that is heaven. What does the old song say "Heaven is a Place on Earth" and it is - in our hearts and memories, our stories, our laughter and tears. Helen (which I'd never call her to her face - so disrespectful - haha) IS heaven.
