Obituary of Brian Perdue

Brian "Boater B " Perdue of Stony Point, NY, passed away on Monday, November 22,2021 with his loving wife, family and friends by his side. He was 55.

 

Brian was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on July 18, 1966 to John & Pamela ( Nee Stevens ) Perdue.

 

The family relocated to New Jersey where Brian graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School Old Tappan, in 1984.

 

Brian had his own towing business, he worked for Mullane Ford in Bergenfield, NJ as a mechanic and he was a bar manager at Images in Orangeburg, NY. Brian then moved to Stony Point, NY where he was a Marine Technician for various marinas, Willow Cove, Zoller's Marine, Greenwood Lake Marina and Peterson's. Brian was renowned on the Hudson River for his trade.

 

He then found his dream job at Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Pearl River, NY. He was Senior Site Superintendent for all locations. Brian loved ensuring that the kids at camp had a safe environment. He loved completing projects such as building a garden to enhance the children's experience.

 

Brian was an avid boater, motorcyclist, he loved his Harley, he loved quading, dirt bike riding and camping. He was a great music lover and his favorite bands where Pink Floyd and AC DC. Brian was a member of the Haverstraw Elks.

 

Brian met his wife Mary Ann at the Willow Cove Marina in 1997 and they married in 2007. Their love for each other and the bond they shared was strong.

 

Brian is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Mary Ann, his brother and sister-in-laws Glenn and Bonny Fedorek, Nephews Kyle ( Aiza ) and Ian Fedorek of Stony Pont and brother-in-law Chet ( Barbara ) Fedorek of Schenectady. He is predeceased by his father John Perdue and his mother Pamela Stevens passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

 

Brian will be missed and remembered for helping out anyone who needed it and for his great sense of humor. 

 

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point, NY. Visiting is Friday, December 10, 2021 at McGowan's Funeral Home in Garnerville , NY from 4 to 8 PM.

 

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to United Hospice of Rockland, St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or The Leukemia Society of Rockland.
