Obituary of Patrick J. Ciabattoni

Patrick Ciabattoni, 65, of Stony Point, NY, passed away unexpectedly following chemotherapy treatments on August 21, 2020.  He was born in Suffern on March 11th, 1955.  Patrick was married to Evelyn and together they ran J&R Deli for more than 20 years.  He owned and operated rental properties in North Rockland. Through their deli, Patrick and his beloved wife supported local sports from Stony Point Little League to North Rockland football.  Patrick had a passion for horse racing from his winter home in Ft. Lauderdale to his summer camper in Saratoga Springs.  Patrick was an avid church goer and spent many years volunteering at Helen Hayes Hospital. Patrick is survived by twin sons, James and Richard; known as Pop-Pop to his four surviving grandchildren, Ava, Andrew, Leah and Jillian.  Patrick grew up in Florida and New York and is survived by brothers Tony (Elise), Philip (Patricia), Mario (Nina), and sisters Anna, Renee Milanes (Angel), Marinella Call (Joseph); Sister in-laws Nancy Ryder (Rich) and Charlotte Lesh (John).  Patrick is survived by many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Sammi. Predeceasing Patrick were his father Filippo, stepmother Barbara, brother; Anthony Antonini and sister Naya Corica. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, from 4-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Social distancing and masks are required. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 10:15am at St. Peter’s Church (Gymnasium) followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter’s St. Mary’s Church in Haverstraw, NY.
