Obituary of Marcella Berdon

Marcella Berdon, 96, of Stony Point, NY, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Thursday.
Marcella was born to the late and loving Vincent & Rita Salvador of Jersey City, NJ.
She grew up in Europe where her family would travel back and forth to the United States while her father participated in the Spanish War.
Marcella met the love of her life at a dance contest in Jersey City, where Albert Berdon danced his way into her heart, later they married on May 3rd, 1947.
They raised their family in North Bergen, NJ until settling in Stony Point, NY.
Her work and passion was at Helen Hayes Hospital where she retired after 21 years of dedicated service.
Marcella is predeceased by her parents, Husband Albert Berdon Sr., son in law Richard Grall, and son Albert Berdon Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Linda Grall of Stony Point, Carolann Anderson (Randell) of Binghamton, Brother Vincent Salvador of NY, Grandchildren: Michael Grall (Franca) of Stony Point, Richard Grall (Cheri) of Port Chester, NY, Rita Ann Anderson of Binghamton, Albert Berdon Jr. of Albany, and Jennifer Berdon of Albany. Great-Grandchildren: Melissa, Mia, Michael, Richard, Natalie and Emily, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY on Thursday, December 26 between the hours of 4pm till 8pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 26 John Street, Stony Point, NY on Friday, December 27th at 10AM.
Marcella will be laid to rest at St. Peters Cemetery on Friday, December 27.
