From the first time I met you, I had a funny feeling getting to know you would be an adventure. An adventure it was, from your remedies for ear aches (chasing me around the table), to your many interesting stories and your spirited discussions (yelling) being around you always opened a door to a new experience for me. We might have been different in some ways, however, our relationship was easy and natural and made me see how similar we were. One of the memories I will always cherish is the many hours we spent together you teaching me how to jar sauce, not for a few months but for the entire year! I like to believe dad was proud of me and that the skinny girl from Staten Island was pretty darn good. You had me taste my first fig, first black coffee and I never tasted so many fried foods in my life. You had a way about you to always make everyone feel welcome and one of the biggest hearts I have ever seen. Missing you is an understatement but the memories I have of you will outweigh any sadness. I am honored that I was able to have you in my life and was able to call you mom. If you could invite my dad to have a cup of coffee with your foursome it would bring me true happiness. Love you forever. Debbie

Yesterday, I cried endlessly when you passed, but I promise, I will not let the tears dull the smiles and laughter that you’ve given me, my wife and children when you were alive.
Mom, I wish there was a way to let you know that I thought of you today with only love. I thought of the many mornings where we talked, joked and shared stories. I want you to know that this will always bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart. If only I could have you back for just a while, then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do.
The pain I feel from your passing is deep, however, I know that time will lessen this pain and then our memories together, will only grow stronger in my heart. I will cherish the day that I can see you and dad again.
Mom I miss you and will never stop thinking of you. Until we meet again. Your loving son Charlie

Mom, Mama, Grandma...she went by so many names because she was so many things to so many different people. To myself, my husband Alan, my daughter Bonnie and my son Sean she has been one of the most important people in our lives. From Tuesday night dinners for 12 or so to Holidays, Birthdays, Weddings and all the things in between she (and Dad) have allowed us to be loved and welcomed members of their family. We were lucky enough to be so very close to her and Dad for more than 40 years, we will think and speak of you often and you will never be forgotten.
You are loved by, Alan, Teresa & Sean Silverman &
Bonnie, Patrick & Rowan DeCosta
