On October 11, 2023, while in ChengDu, China, my heart was pierced, hearing that my best friend since first day of high school at the Mount, Tony Damiani (class of 1971) passed away.
We were friends 56 years since 14 years-old, traveled Italy together as sophomores, and shared all of life’s joys and sorrows.
We never forgot one another’s birthday. In fact, Tony’s last words to me in a text on September 26, 2023 was, “Happy Birthday to my Best Friend.”
Tony was a remarkable friend, brother, husband, father (four children) and grandfather. He also honorably and proudly served in the United States Army.
Facebook is banned in China, so I am only able to post this memory of Tony now since I just returned to America.
I humbly ask your prayers for the repose of his soul, and for strength for his wife Dorothy and all his family.
Life is short, eternity awaits us; let us be kind, merciful, and charitable during our time on earth.

Tony was a special guy he was generous, kind, humble and loving to his wife, children, in laws, grandchildren family, and friends.
Many fond memories of Tony over the years. A remarkable man loved by all who was fortunate to know him. I pray that the family will celebrate his life and may his memories bring comfort and peace to them all at this time of sorrow.
