Obituary of Maureen Anne Rogers

On Monday, July 3rd 2023 our loving Mom, Nannie, Great Nannie, Aunt and friend of many, Maureen Ann Rogers passed away at her home in Stony Point, NY.  With a smile that could light up the entire world, she was a friend to all. Her life was full, and she would tell you she enjoyed every single second of it. She was ready to go home to Heaven and reunite with loving husband, family and friends. Maureen was born in NY, NY on March 24, 1943 to Francis and Anna Kehoe.  She was the only sister and was very close with her three brothers Frank, Michael (preceded in death) & Dan (survived by).

Maureen was married to her loving husband of over 57 yearsEugene Rogers at Good Sheppard Parish in the Inwood Section of Manhattan until his passing in May 2022.  After moving and living in the City for a few years, they moved the family up to Stony Point, NY to raise their five children together.  Anastasia (John McCahan), Geraldine (Dan Redalieu), Jeanne Marie (Michael Dineen), Christopher (Christine Loskocinski), and Kerrianne (Rob Staropoli).

While married and raising their children, Maureen was the administrative secretary at the Nyack Manor Nursing Home.  While her social skills got her the job, her love for helping others continued throughout her life.  Maureen loved being retired, whether spending time with girlfriends out to lunch or just spending anytime she could with her grandchildren (Kayla, Patrick, Jack, Daniel, Meaghan, Devin, Brendan, Fiona, Owen, Ella and Julianna) or great grandchildren (Henry and Vivian) and of course vacationing or just being by Eugene’s side.  Our Mom will be truly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9th from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 10th, 10am at Immaculate Conception Church followed by interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
