Obituary of Rosemary Rizzo

Rosemary Rizzo a lifelong resident of Haverstraw died Monday April 1, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 88. Rosemary was born March 8, 1925 in Haverstraw to the late James and Mary (Gallo) Pisano. She attended St. Peter's School graduating in 1938 and she graduated from Haverstraw High School "Class of 1942". Rosemary worked for Provident Bank as an assistant to the President of the Bank. She retired after 30 years of service. Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Joseph, sister Angelica "Ann" and her husband Alfred Reilly. Her sister-in-law Sister Irene Rizzo and Sister Lucia Rizzo both of Italy, brother-in-laws Michael, Alfred and Gaetano Rizzo. Her nieces Catherine and Thomas Jones, Mary Ellen and Robert Loblanco, Carol and Charles McGrath. Her nephew Father Giovanni Rizzo of Vatican City. And many great nieces and nephews. Rosemary's visiting hours will be Wednesday and Thursday 2-4, 7-9 pm at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home GARNERVILLE. Rosemary's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
