Obituary of Sheila M Larkin

Sheila M. Larkin, of Garnerville, New York, born March 28,1931, daughter of Michael J. Hylas and Mae Hylas, passed away on September 28, 2013, at the age of 82. Along with her late husband, Richard, Mrs. Larkin was actively involved in all activities concerning the once popular Low Tor Ice Center. A lifelong Rockland County resident, Mrs. Larkin attended Congers High School and met Mr. Larkin at the age of 16. A beloved wife, sister, mother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her sister Pat Sheridan with husband Jack; daughters Nancy Scariano with her husband, Charles, and Karen Larkin; grandchildren Jayme Lynch, Nicole Scariano, Bryan Scariano, Kelly Lynch, Jennifer Northrup, great-grandchildren Riley and Clinton Northrup and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visiting at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 North Central Highway, Garnerville, is scheduled Friday, October 4, 2013, 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will take place Saturday, October 5, 2013, at St. Peters Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw at 10:00am with burial to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw, beside her late husband, Richard, and late daughter, Sandra Larkin.
