Obituary of Mary A. Conklin

Mary A. "May" Conklin, of Stony Point, passed away on February 28, 2014. She was 90. May was born to William and Mary (Welsh) Bogasky on May 8, 1923 in Haverstraw. Mary was educated in St. Peter's School, Haverstraw High School, and the New York Foundling Hospital. Mary was a nurse in the nursery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. Mary married Hudson ("Gus") Conklin in St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, in 1948. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband in 1988, her daughter Mary Algozzino in 2001, her parents, two brothers: Bill and Jack Bogasky, and by her sister Rita Bowker. Mary is survived by her son Robert and Mary Jeanne (Feeney), son-in-law Sal Algozzino, her grandchildren Kelly McCafferty (Chuck), Robert and Patrick Conklin, Joe Algozzino (Danielle) and Chris Algozzino. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Madeline McCafferty, and Joseph and Sophia Algozzino. Mary's family will receive friends at T.J. McGOWAN SONS FUNERAL HOME, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw, on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 7-9pm, and on Monday, March 3, from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Tuesday, March 4 at 10am at St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw.
