Rosemarie Drop posted a condolence
Tuesday, May 2, 2023
I send my love and my deepest condolences to her children and their families, to all relations and good friends and to anyone who's heart she touched in some way.
She was such a beautiful light. I feel blessed to have known her. I had great respect and admiration for what she stood for and her beliefs.
I look back at the holidays when we would all get together at (for me) Grandma's, Aunt Mary's and Uncle Carlo's house. We had great food, played games or just spent time with our cousins and the older members played "May I" (I never knew how to play but would like to know the game).
Later it changed to Rockland. My Uncle Carlo or another family member would pick us up and later bring us back home. That, to me was love!!! My aunt prepared a feast and later coffee and something sweet and it was truly what a holiday should be. She carried this tradition for many years and never let on to weariness. She loved having her family there. How many beautiful knitted or crocheted baby garments and blankets did she lovingly create!!!
I knew that this family was special. The "Accattatos" were the rock in my eyes. How many times did they help or listened and aided us in times of need.
I believe that she was the driving force to keeping us close. She loved each one of us. How she is missed!!!!
She has earned her rest and the Lord must be so elated to have her with Him. Now I will talk to her in my prayers and in my thoughts. I will hear her sweet sounding voice and know she is out of pain and with loved ones. She is another star in heaven.
I love you Aunt Mary, so much!!!!! I wish I had been better showing you or doing more for you.
Always,
Rosemarie
