Obituary of Marion G. Rosato
Marion G. Rosato (nee Butler) of Stony Point, NY passed away on June 2, 2022 at the age of 97. She was born on February 25, 1925 in Yonkers, NY to John and Sadie (Mullen) Butler. She graduated from Gordon H.S. in Yonkers.
While attending a USO dance, she met her future husband, Thomas J. Rosato. He predeceased her in 2002. After living in Westchester for many years, they retired to Stuart, Florida for the last 16 years of their married life. Marion loved doing craft work, was an avid reader and was a very active member of the Women’s Guild at Holy Redeemer Church near their home in Florida.
In 2005, Marion moved to Stony Point, N.Y. to be closer to family. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The greatest gifts she passed onto her family were her deep faith, her unconditional love of family and friends, and her great sense of humor! Everyone who knew her enjoyed her quick wit and admired her fiercely independent spirit.
Marion is survived by her daughter, Maureen Berry (husband George) of Pearl River, NY and her son Thomas M. Rosato (wife Carol) of Rye, NY; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
