Man, to many great summer memories with my cousin!!! And a ton of laughs, with true adventures in the late 60’s. What simpler times, running all over Haverstraw. I do remember one time my wife and I were coming back from Cape Cod, and we decided to stop in Haverstraw real quick for a quick break. As I pulled up to West St where Gene lived, there he sat in a lawn chair, strumming a guitar and a can of beer at he’s feet. At first he didn’t recognize us. I yelled “ what are ya up too!!” He took a shot of beer and said he was waited for Jim Morrison. At that moment I had to turn to my wife, and insure her Morrison was dead ( she had a quizzical look, not remembering if Morrison was dead or alive). I just cracked up and so we sat down to drink with Gene. Didn’t leave Haverstraw for two days. I have so many stories like that, what fun. Gene was one of the nicest guys, and will be missed. To my double cousins Karen, Bob and Bill, god bless and love from Sis and I. PS- I believe right now my cousin is without a doubt having that beer with Jim Morrison. Michael Woska
