Our prayers go out to the Alonso/Vasquez families. We are so sorry for the loss of a loved one so dear and cherished. We hope you can be somewhat comforted knowing she is with the Lord now, free of any ailments, any pain. She is rejoicing up in heaven, spreading her joy! May God bless you, and may you turn to Him to help ease your pain.

Robert, Louise, Alice, John, family and friends: We are deeply saddened by the passing of “Mangy.” Our hearts are heavy and we extend our sincerest sympathies. We can’t imagine how difficult this time must be for you and your family. We will continue to pray and petition the Lord on your behalf. As believers, we never have to say goodbye to the ones we love, as long as they have placed their trust in Jesus as Savior. During this time of grief; it is also a time to rejoice because the Bible promises that we will see them again. We have confidence that one day in heaven there will be “no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying” (Rev 21:4). It’s in that wonderful place that “we shall always be with the Lord” (1 Thess 4:17).
God Bless you and your family,
The Gatrell’s (Your North Carolina family)

My sincere condolences to the Alonso family. One thing that stands out in my memory of Mrs. Alonso is that she always carried herself with such poise and grace. And yes, I always called her Mrs. Alonso. I first knew her as a young child and that was a time, out of respect, you never called an elder by their first name and I never quite made the switch to Margaret or La La. Mrs. Alonso was always happy, positive and she brightened the room. She always had a kind thing to say and was genuinely concerned about your well being. She always impressed me by how active she was. While a lot of people after age 55 or 60, don’t change a thing about their home or yard, just this past summer, Mrs. Alonso, OK, maybe Margaret just this once, was outside doing landscaping. The landscaping was perfectly fine, but she thought it could use a change. She kept herself busy and was a accomplished businesswoman, but always made time and loved spending time with her sisters, sons and loved ones, grandchildren and friends. She will be missed and always hold a dear space in my heart.

My immediate family and I convey our deepest and most sincere sympathy to the Alonso family for the loss of our loved one, Margaret. May each of you find peace, comfort and understanding during this difficult time. A lifetime of memories will now remain in our hearts as we look back through the years of growing up together in a loving family. I will always remember my beautiful sister for her charm, no nonsense personality, structured discipline, cooking skills, and of course, those moves on the dance floor. Rest In peace my dear as one day we will be reunited.
