Obituary of Julia C. Dombrowski

Julia Colombia Dombrowski (nee Morano) went home to her heavenly family on July 6th, 2021. She was 93. Julia was born to Martin Morano and Antoinette Salerno on October 12th, 1927 in Little Falls, NJ. Her family moved to Thiells when she was a child to the “Waterworks House” on Rosman Rd. She attended the one room schoolhouse there and graduated from Haverstraw High School in 1944. On July 18th, 1948, she was married in St. Peter’s Church to Anthony Dombrowski. Julia was retired from North Rockland School District Accounting Department. Julia was totally dedicated to her family, both immediate and extended; they were her life. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Ehlers (Joe Longo), cherished grandsons Michael Ehlers (Angie), Eric Ehlers, John Patrick Fay (Kristy), and Jared Fay; great-grandsons Eric Keith Ehlers (mother Dawn Bono), Daniel George Ehlers, and Austin DeSimone; and great- granddaughters Annabelle Rose Ehlers and Ashley DeSimone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Beverly Waldron, who has always been there for her and hers. She is also survived by her son-in-law John Fay, and lifelong friend, Marion Margiotta. She deeply loved you all. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony, in 2015, her daughter Brenda Fay in 2014 and great-grandson Braylon Patrick Fay in 2014, her son-in-law George “Buddy” Ehlers in 2013, and her granddaughter-in-law Dawne Ehlers in 2019. She is also predeceased by her parents, and her brothers Joseph and Alfred Morano and sister Violet Campbell. Family will receive friends on Friday from 3-7pm at TJ McGowan Sons FH in Garnerville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 9:45am, at St. Peter’s Church followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations can be made to Friends of Martin Campbell.
