Obituary of Ivette Cabo

Ivette Cabo, 79, died peacefully on February 11, 2021, at The Joe Raso Hospice Residence. She was born November 28, 1941, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Vicente and Manuela Carraderra Dominguez. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Joseph V. Dominguez and husband Ralph A. Cabo.

On October 1, 1966,  she wed Ralph A. Cabo in a Catholic ceremony and they settled in Pomona, NY. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters Marissa Cabo (Patrick Treanor) and Mercedes Greenleaf (Robert Greenleaf) and three grandchildren Robert and Madison Greenleaf and Ariana Treanor.

She was known as Nana and spent most of her time making memories with her grandchildren. Her hobbies included gardening, vacationing with her daughters families, traveling with her husband and friends.  She also had a love of books and was an avid reader. She was a strong woman with a gentle spirit. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed many good times. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held 5 pm- 9pm Monday, February 15, 2021, at TJ McGowans Funeral Home , 71 North Central Highway, Garnerville, NY 10923. A Catholic Mass will be held 11 am, Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, 25 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY 10923.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
