Obituary of Dawn Marie Scios

Dawn Scios was born in Nyack, N.Y. on March 14, 1967. Dawn was a lifelong Rockland County resident. She also enjoyed a winter home in Vero Beach, Florida for many years. Beloved daughter and first born to her predeceased parents Peggy Drainer and Donald Scioscia. She was showered with their love. Dawn attended Clarkstown South High School and furthered her studies at Rockland Community College. Dawn enjoyed working many years as an office administrator and also enjoyed working in the hospitality industry. She had a great love for art and also loved to attend live music concerts and watch movies. Dawn’s warm heart had her caring for many animals during her lifetime and her generosity with others has touched and helped many lives. Dawn passed away peacefully in her sleep at her current residence in Nanuet, N.Y. on February 3rd, 2021. She was 53 years old. Dawn is survived by her brother Dante Scioscia, her sister in law Rosana, her step nieces Tsarina and Natassia as well as her step nephews, Grant and Colton, along with several cousins from around the country. We will miss her deeply. Family, friends, and others whose lives’ were touched by Dawn are all invited to The T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Homes, 133 Broadway Haverstraw, N.Y. 10923.
