Obituary of Bernadette A. Croci

Bernadette (Bernie) Croci, 81 of Garnerville died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Hospital on February 3 with her family by her side.  Born in Suffern, NY on December 27, 1939 to Ann Kohut.  Bernie attended St. Peter’s School & Haverstraw High School.  She was married to the love of her life, Ronnie for 56 years.  She was a homemaker and worked as a monitor at North Garnerville Elementary School for 25 years. Bernie loved to cook and enjoyed her senior citizen meetings and trips.  Bernie touched the lives of so many people with her generosity and kindness.   Bernie was the first one to always help everyone out with either gifts, food and friendships.  Anyone she ever met had nothing but amazing memories or stories about her.  She cherished her time with her family, especially her daughters, her grandchildren, great grandson, and all her close friends who were like her second family. Bernie is predeceased by her mother, her husband Ronnie, and her sister Michele Mackey.  She is survived by her 2 daughters, Cheryl (John), Colleen (David) and her 3 grandchildren Brittany (Mike), Brianna, Andrew and her first great grandson Lucas as well as her close friend, Carmen, numerous family members and so many amazing friends. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the T.J McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville on Friday, February 12  between 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  Masks and social distancing is required at the funeral home; rotaion is in effect. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church on Saturday, February 13 at 10:00 am. Bernie will be laid to rest with her husband at Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sunrise Day Camp at Sunrisedaycamp-pearlriver.org which gives the magic of camp to children with cancer.
