On Oct 8, 2020 The world lost a Great Gentleman named Bob ( for those who knew him) It was Rose's Bob friends for decades and part of the Baker and Ferrara family for close to 50 years. I am Gina's best Friend and Rose is like a second mother, so I was Blessed to have Bob in my life for decades. He was at every foot ball game and cheer leading event when Gina and Joe's children were young and he would go out of his way to hand pick their birthday and Christmas Presents every year. Dana and Nick will miss him tremendously for he was there for all there celebrations, Christmas, Holidays and Even Wedding. He was also known to my family as the neighbor who would always walk by my childhood house and stop by to talk to my Dad Jack, and both of them
would talk for hours, I even remember him and My Aunt and Uncles Wedding and he always had his head phones listening to the hockey game or races. He loved his sports and OTB just like my one Uncle also. He will truely be missed and was loved by memories. He will be remembered in our Hearts and in the cherished memories we all had with him. Love Michael and Patricia Antonello Blessed Friends to have him in our Lives.

Uncle Bob was like a grandfather to my brother Nick and I. Since I was born, he’s been there for all types of celebrations, birthdays & holidays- always bearing thoughtful gifts he spent time picking out and wrapping extra carefully himself. He nicknamed my favorite doll “foo foo” & taught me how to really eat a lobster the “right way”. We played nok hockey together & he loved telling me stories about how carefully I ate my ice cream as a kid. He had the best luck when it came to scratch offs and he loved all things sports; especially the New York Rangers & New York Jets. He always had a pen in his shirt pocket, brought a bottle of Asti for dinner, and loved a good joke. Our holiday table will always be missing a place, but we’ll keep decades of special memories close to our hearts and will always be grateful we had Uncle Bob.

This week, our family lost someone very special to our lives. (Uncle) Bob has been with us for over 47 years and, to be honest, I just figured he would always be around and never imagined life without him. He was the closest thing I ever had to a dad. He taught me how to watch and play hockey, football and baseball. Took me to my first Mets game, Islander game (of course he rooted for the Rangers the whole time). Every time we have lobster, the conversation at the table revolves around how Bob taught us all how to eat a whole lobster without leaving anything behind. He was a brilliant man who loved sports in general and could tell you who, when, where and how on just about any subject, especially sports. Played nok hockey and basketball with the kids on holidays, shopped for and wrapped every single gift he ever gave us on his own, taking the time to pick exactly what he thought we would like. We will miss the scratch offs, the OTB trips, the perpetual smile, the Sally Field joke, the hockey on every tv and, most of all, how you treated us like our own. You can't be replaced and we will miss you every day. Rest in peace.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
