Obituary of Jose A. Robles Sr.

Jose A. Robles, Sr. of Haverstraw, New York passed away on April 7, 2020.  He was 73 years old.  Jose was born in Manati, Puerto Rico on December 17th, 1946 to the late Antonio and Sara Robles.  He was the oldest of 4 children.  

Jose (also known as “Jun”) married the love of his life, Carmen, on January 31st, 1970 and made 50 years of marriage this past year.  They moved to Haverstraw, New York in August of 1970 where they raised their 3 children.  Jose worked at Louis Hornick and Co. for 32 years until his retirement as a machine operator.  He loved working with his hands and doing carpentry which he did on the side and also working in his home.  He was loving and supportive of his family and was very fond of his grandchildren.  He will be missed by all who loved him.

Jose was survived by his beloved wife, Carmen and his 3 children, Jose, Eric and Sara Robles. He is also survived by his 4 cherished  grandchildren, Justin, Jonathan, Zacary and Alexander and his daughters-in-law, Griselda and Ese (Victoria).  He is also survived by his 3 younger sisters, Milagros, Lydia, and Nelida Robles as well as his nieces and nephews whom he loved.
