Ron married the love of his life, Anna Marie Mazzucco, on July 21, 1962 at St., Peter’s Church in Haverstraw. He graduated from St. Peter’s School and Don Bosco High School. Ron completed 2years of college before moving fulltime into the family business. Along with his brothers, Ron helped their father Lou build Olori Crane Service. Olori Crane Service has been a respected member of the construction community of the Hudson Valley since 1950. It was a source of great joy to Ron that the crane service continues today with the help of his grandchildren, the fourth generation of the Olori Family. Ron learned from his parents to give back to his community. He gave his time and attention to so many organizations throughout Rockland County during his lifetime. The two closest to his heart were the Boy Scouts of America and St. Peter’s parish. He dedicated his time and talents to keeping St. Peter’s church, rectory and school up and running. Whether it be lights, heat, and air conditioning, Ron used his resources in the construction business to the benefit of the parish. Ron and Anne Marie would lend a helping hand with seasonal decorations in St. Peters church. Ron was Scoutmaster of Troop 19 from 1963 to 1994 when his son Ron Jr. took over the position. He was “Mr. O” to many young men in his 30-year tenure. Many of his former scouts still refer to him as “their Scoutmaster”. He remained on the troop committee until his passing. A few of the many sentiments from Ron’s scouting family; “There is a long line of boys/men that he mentored and helped.” “He was a mentor that I had the utmost respect for!! When Mr. O said something, it was gospel!! “ “Mr. O literally changed the lives of hundreds of young men. Without him. Many of us would have been lost “ “Your dad was a father figure to so, so many. I count myself so fortunate to have known him and loved. him. “ “In my life there is God, my mother and my scoutmaster (Mr. O) and not always in that order. “ There will be a celebration of Ron’s life at later date.
