Isabella Casella

October 21, 1925 – March 21, 2020

Isabella Casella, age 94, passed away March 21, 2020 at Joe Raso Hospice Residence.  Isabella was born on October 21, 1925 to Joseph and Rose Lamancusa.  She had three sisters, Carmella, Rose and Mary and one brother Charlie.  Isabella worked in the Garment Industry in Haverstraw, N.Y.

Tindaro Casella, age 99, passed away August 20, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.  Tindaro was born September 4, 1919 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Giuseppe and Rosa Casella.  Tindaro had four brothers, Joseph, Sebastian, Sam and Jimmy and two sisters, Josephine and Mary.  He worked in the Garment Industry in Haverstraw, N.Y. 

Tindaro and Isabella married in 1943 in Sicily.  They had one daughter, Rosanna.  They moved from Sicily to Argentina in 1950 and then to America in 1958.  Tino and Isabella loved to go to their home in Upstate, N.Y.; they would spend their summers there.    They also enjoyed their winter get away at St. Augustine, FL.  Tino loved fishing and his garden.  Tino also played the piano, guitar and accordion.  Isabella loved to socialize, dancing and singing.  She also loved cooking for the family.  Isabella made the best cannoli’s.  They lived a long and amazing life together, traveled and enjoyed their family.

Tindaro and Isabella are survived by their daughter, Rosanna Ruzzi and son-in-law, Peter Ruzzi, two grandchildren, Raquel Raffa and Peter Ruzzi and his wife, Diane Ruzzi, 2 great grandchildren, Isabella Raffa and Sebastian Raffa as well as Isabella’s youngest sister Mary Minerick and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

We will cherish all the times we shared and the many memories that are left with us.  They were truly an inspiration to our family.

Noninna and Noninno, we love you and will truly miss you both.
