Jenks....you got that speciality pouch, I need a couple more drill bits. Never will forget those days working with him. He taught me a lot. Those days up there hunting with Louie Sagula on my property were awesome! Loved his singing! R.I.P. Keep Singing, Love ya Man!

JOHN ZIMMER posted a condolence

I heard the news today….. Oh Boy…..
I just received the following from my friend Eleanor Jenkins "Some very sad news John. My brother-in-law, Tommy Jenkins passed away on Monday. Could you let friends know."
I’m sitting here remembering all of the times we shared in our early twenties for Tommy was the Lead Singer of our band, Dead Brandy Dog. Tommy was without doubt the BEST singer I’ve ever heard and DBD became a top act, especially at Greenwood Lake NY, where we were the house band at Mother’s for over a year and a half. He taught me how to really sing both lead and harmony and we formed a tight knit unit, specializing on songs of Eric Clapton; our stage show even included a set from Derek & the Dominoes “Layla” album.
Tommy could play all of the instruments and the musical talent to do anything; he could have been a major Star but did not want to leave his family for a life on the road; he preferred to as he would say “bang nails” and became a building contractor.
I had not seen him for several years and was always hoping we would have some sort of DBD reunion, unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. My sincere condolences to Tommy’s family and hope he’s joined the big band in the sky.
