Obituary of Frederick F. Marino Sr.

 Frederick Marino Sr. passed away at his residence in Sunrise of Old Tappan, Old Tappan, NJ on September 14, 2018.  He was a longtime resident of Haverstraw, NY and a member of St. Peter's Church.  Fred was born on May 28, 1924 to John and Nicolette Marino.  He was predeceased by his wife Josephine (Ramundo) Marino, his parents and siblings Anthony, Caroline, Nancy, Lillian and Mary.  Fred is survived by his children Theresa Patterson, Fred Marino Jr., Karen Knickerbocker and Coletta Burak and their spouses, siblings Rosie, John and Lawrence along with 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.                                                            

 Fred  was a veteran of World War II serving with the 1905th Engineers Aviation Battalion in Burma.  He retired from World Wide Volkswagen in Orangeburg, NY in the late 1980's.  Fred was a loving husband, father and grandfather who possessed a great sense of humor.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives at the T.J McGowan Sons Funeral Home 133 Broadway Haverstraw NY on Tuesday September 18 2018 between the hours of 4pm and 8pm. 

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday September 19 2018 at 10am. Immediately following the mass Frederick will be laid to rest at St Peters Cemetery in Haverstraw NY. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise for the love and care they gave "Pop".  Donations can be made in Fred's name to St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, NY.
