Obituary of Diane M. Leach

Diane M. Leach, 75, of Stony Point passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 2, 2018. She was born on March 19, 1943 in Suffern, NY to Robert & Mary (Stewart) Mains. Diane married the love of her life John Leach on April 22, 1962 at Immaculate Conception Church in Stony Point.  John predeceased her in 2006. Diane was a volunteer at Helen Hayes Hospital for 16 years as the office manager for the gift store and she served on the Volunteer Board at the Hospital. 
Diane enjoyed crocheting blankets, NASCAR, was an avid antique collector and enjoyed using her metal detector to search for precious things, but most of all she was a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, as well as a loving Aunt to her nieces & nephews. Diane is survived by her loving daughters Michelle (James) Pritchard of Tomkins Cove, Jacqueline (Stephen) Baker of Mahwah, NJ, her adored & cherished grandchildren Matthew, John & McKenna, her caring brothers Larry (Lynn) Mains of Plant City, FL, Steve (Patti) Mains of Stony Point, Michael (Mary Jean) of Harriman as well as numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.  
The family will receive friends & relatives on Wed June 6th from 4 – 8 PM at the TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway Garnerville, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Diane on Thurs June 7th At 10 AM in St Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville with interment to follow in St. Peters Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Diane’s memory to United Hospice of Rockland 11 Stokum Lane New City, NY 10956
